About us
Our kindergarten is a warm and safe place where children aged 2-7 can happily grow and learn. We have space for 240 children and 12 wonderful groups, each named after colorful characters from children’s literature.
Our outdoor area offers plenty of opportunities for both play and learning. In 2019, we opened an outdoor classroom in the “House of Light,” and in 2020, we added a large sand ship, which has become a source of endless excitement. There’s also a sports field, a slackline, and in the winter, a large sledding hill for the kids to enjoy.
At the “House of Joy,” children can explore a fun monkey trail and have plenty of space for discoveries. In winter, a sledding hill is right next to the building, offering even more outdoor fun.
Each group has its own playroom and bedroom. Meals are served in a shared dining hall, where all the children can enjoy healthy and nutritious food together.
Music and movement activities take place both indoors and outdoors, and for larger events, we use the Lohkva Sports Hall.
Our kindergarten corridors have been transformed into playful activity paths, encouraging daily physical activity for the children. Every day here brings new adventures and joy for the little ones!

In 2017, the Estonian Association for Quality awarded our kindergarten the Estonian Quality Innovation Award in the field of education. This recognition was given for the well-planned and successfully implemented digital transformation at Lohkva Kindergarten.
